We will honor the founders of the Harsh Society and the work of Julieanna Richardson, founder and executive director of The HistoryMakers. The HistoryMakers is the nation’s most prominent and largest collector of African American oral history. Much of their work has been completed with the aid of the Harsh Collection. The HistoryMakers archives now reside in the Library of Congress. We are delighted to have Ms. Richardson share her history making journey with us.
Thanks to the support of the community and Harsh Society members we have accomplished much since our founding. The next twenty years are even more promising. We hope you will join us on our continued journey and upcoming celebration. This celebration is open to the public. Reserve your tickets now! Visit our Events page to purchase tickets.
